The International Finance Corporation will host its Global Trade Partners Meeting from 24 to 26 March 2026 in Lisbon.
First held in Paris in 2007, the meeting was set up to strengthen relationships across IFC’s Global Trade Finance Program partner banks. Over time, it has developed into a recognised forum for institutions involved in trade finance, with previous editions taking place in Washington DC, Dubai, Istanbul, Lisbon, Milan and Barcelona.
Drawing on IFC’s reach across emerging markets, the event brings together banks and financial institutions from around the world. The most recent meeting, held in Barcelona in 2024, brought together more than 350 delegates from 57 countries, representing 130 institutions.
What to expect in Lisbon
The Lisbon programme will run across two days and will include a series of speakers and panel discussions focused on the global trade environment. Sessions will look at current trends, challenges and opportunities in trade finance, with a practical focus on issues affecting the market today.
Joy and Deepesh will be moderating a roundtable discussion as part of the programme, contributing to the exchange of views across participants.
There will also be time set aside for networking, giving delegates the opportunity to meet peers, share perspectives and build working relationships.
The meeting will close with the Gala Awards Dinner, where IFC will recognise high performing trade finance partners from across its global network.
