Wissam Khoury, Author at Trade Treasury Payments

Wissam Khoury heads Finastra’s global Treasury and Capital Markets (TCM) business unit. He is responsible for leading and driving strategy, growth and sustainability.

He has over 25 years of experience working with financial institutions, leading them through digital transformation and industry change. He is particularly passionate about growing the TCM partner ecosystem at Finastra, as well as diversity and inclusion. He is an advocate and executive sponsor of the Women@Finastra group, which empowers women to achieve their professional and personal aspirations.

Wissam has a very successful track record in managing high performing teams. He previously spent more than two years leading Finastra’s Middle East and Africa operations as Managing Director, where he was instrumental in contributing to the growth of the region’s fintech industry from his base in Dubai. Wissam then added APAC to his roster driving the company’s growth strategy there and across EMEA, also living in Singapore for a time, strengthening local footprints, accelerating sales and deepening customer partnerships.

Since, Wissam moved to London and took on the role of Executive Vice President – Head of International for two years. In this role he oversaw the entire go-to-market strategy.
Before Finastra, Wissam was Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at FIS, a global financial software provider, where he grew the business and established offices in the UAE, KSA, Turkey, South Africa, Kenya and Pakistan. He also spent eight years as a solution practice manager at Reuters Limited, as well as establishing the Misys Middle East local Treasury and Capital Markets business as a Regional Manager.
