About the Event

As 2026 emerges as a defining year for global trade finance, ICC United Kingdom will host a half day conference examining the regulatory, policy, and digital developments reshaping the industry.

The event will convene senior leaders from banks, trade finance associations, multilateral development banks, policymakers, and legal experts to assess how the trade finance landscape is evolving in the UK and internationally. It also marks a key milestone ahead of ICC United Kingdom hosting the ICC Banking Commission Annual Meeting later in the year.

The programme will open with updates from the ICC Banking Commission, including insights into committee activity, forthcoming rule developments such as UCP and ISBP, UK advocacy priorities, and preparations for the Commission’s spring meeting in Paris. This will be followed by perspectives from leading trade finance associations and multilateral development banks on strategic priorities for 2026, current policy initiatives, and opportunities for industry engagement.

The conference will conclude with a focused discussion on the UK’s Digital Assets Act and its implications for trade finance. This session will explore how the new legal framework supports the digitalisation of trade documentation, enables innovation across documentary trade processes, and contributes to the UK’s trade and growth ambitions.

Designed as a practical and interactive forum, the conference will provide policy context, actionable insight, and networking opportunities for organisations navigating regulatory change and preparing for the next phase of trade finance.
