From 19 to 23 May 2025, Vienna will once again become the focal point for the international trade finance community as ICC Austria hosts its prestigious Trade Finance Week. A Week of Specialist Conferences

Trade Finance Week 2025 features three core events, each designed to tackle the complexities and emerging trends in trade finance:

• 20th Global Conference on Bank Guarantees (19–20 May):
  Now in its 20th year, this flagship conference will explore a wide range of timely topics including Basel IV implications, the classification of guarantees, and a comparative analysis of URDG, ISP98, and UCP rules. Key areas also include digitalisation trends driven by the #DataNotPaper initiative, the role of jurisdiction clauses and applicable law, as well as the impact of sanctions and compliance on bank guarantees.
• Case Studies on Bank Guarantees & Letters of Credit (21 May):
  This interactive session invites delegates to examine complex and unusual real-world cases from diverse perspectives – including those of bankers, corporates, traders, forwarders, and insurers. Participants are encouraged to submit anonymised cases for collaborative discussion, fostering practical and engaging learning.
• 19th Global Conference on Letters of Credit (22–23 May):
  Focusing on the most recent developments in L/Cs, this conference will explore the updated ISBP, tokenisation in trade finance, ESG considerations, cyber fraud, and the increasing role of data-driven L/C operations. The event is aimed at equipping professionals with the tools and insights to navigate the evolving landscape of letters of credit.
