N3XT Digital Dollar launches at Money 20/20 Asia to deliver regulated, always-on USD settlement
Live Updates
N3XT, a blockchain-based narrow bank for instant B2B payments, has launched the N3XT Digital Dollar (NDD). This bank-issued tokenised deposit allows for real-time U.S. dollar (USD) settlements globally.
Officially launched at Money 20/20 Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, NDD combines the speed and programmability of blockchain with the safety and oversight of a fully regulated bank.
Jeffrey Wallis, President and CEO of N3XT, said, “The N3XT Digital Dollar brings regulated U.S. dollar banking onto blockchain rails, enabling institutions to transact globally in real time while maintaining the safety and control of a fully reserved bank deposit.”
“Businesses shouldn’t have to choose between the speed and innovation of blockchain and the security of regulated banking. This is the infrastructure businesses need to operate in the 24/7 global economy,” he added.
Bridging the gap in global payments infrastructure
The N3XT Digital Dollar fills a key gap in global payments by allowing businesses to instantly settle USD transactions 24/7/365.
This capability reduces payment delays, improves liquidity management, and eliminates reliance on traditional banking hours.
NDD provides a transformative solution designed for worldwide institutions from day one to meet the demands of the 24/7 global economy.
NDD is completely backed by cash or short-term U.S. Treasuries, ensuring complete security under a regulated banking system.
Unlike stablecoins, NDD is a direct digital representation of U.S. dollar deposits held at a regulated bank, removing the risks linked to fractional-reserve banking.
NDD offers several primary benefits.

Seamless adoption and collaboration
NDD is now available to approved N3XT clients and is supported by key partners. These include Blockchain.com, Five Bells, FRNT Financial Inc., Halborn, Kraken, Ripple Prime, Utila, and Zodia Markets.
Institutions can onboard NDD directly into their enterprise systems through N3XT’s API-first platform, subject to approval.
N3XT brings its regulated banking infrastructure to blockchain networks, enabling institutions to hold, transfer, and manage U.S. dollars quickly and flexibly like digital assets, all while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Gurpreet Oberoi, Head of Kraken Institutional, noted, “N3XT is showing how institutions can put public blockchain infrastructure to practical use, enabling programmable, instant settlement at the business level that can reshape how money moves through the global economy.”
Nick Philpott, COO and Co-Founder of Zodia Markets, said, “N3XT’s new Digital Dollar is a notable step along the path of migrating finance to the open internet, introducing one of the world’s first compliant bank accounts on a public chain.”
Bentzi Rabi, Co-Founder & CEO of Utila, stated, “A fully reserved, bank-issued digital dollar carries fundamentally different weight with institutional treasuries and compliance teams than other stablecoin alternatives.”
Michael Higgins, International CEO of Ripple Prime, said, “As institutional capital increasingly moves on-chain, blockchain-powered narrow banks like N3XT will be instrumental in providing access to tokenised collateral and 24/7 settlement functionality.”
Gabi Urrutia, SVP Security & Field CISO at Halborn, added, “We congratulate N3XT on the successful launch of the N3XT Digital Dollar. Supporting innovative leaders across technology and finance in delivering transformative solutions securely is central to our mission.”
N3XT’s Digital Dollar is a key development in regulated blockchain banking, allowing institutions to transact USD instantly and securely in today’s global economy.
