EuroCommerce is the principal European organisation representing the retail and wholesale sector, bringing together national associations and millions of companies across more than 27 countries. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Brussels, it acts as the recognised European social partner for the sector, representing everything from large multinational retailers to small family‑run businesses. The organisation advocates on EU policy and legislation, supports competitiveness and digital transformation, and provides insight across areas such as the single market, sustainability, global trade, jobs and skills. Retail and wholesale together account for one in seven jobs in Europe, and EuroCommerce serves as the unified voice helping the sector navigate regulatory change, strengthen supply chains and contribute to Europe’s economic resilience.
