CBI S.c.p.a. Società Benefit is a public limited consortium company serving the financial sector, with over 400 banks and payment institutions as partners and customers. It develops interoperable payment infrastructures and services — including CBI Service, CBILL, Big Data CBI and CBI Globe — supporting public administrations, businesses and citizens.

For more than twenty years, CBI has contributed to industry self-regulation and standard-setting, promoting full interoperability across the financial ecosystem through active participation in international forums such as UN/CEFACT, ISO, the EBA and the EPC.
