Trans-Fi, a global B2B payments infrastructure provider, has introduced BizPay, a new cross-border payments platform to allow money movement across 100 countries and 250 payment methods.
BizPay incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) to optimise routing decisions for both pay-ins and payouts. The system evaluates multiple settlement options in real time and selects the fastest and most cost-effective pathway, using either fiat or stablecoin rails. According to Trans-Fi, the platform integrates with over 70 backend partners and offers a self-service onboarding process that enables users to begin transacting within minutes.
Cross-border payments have historically been affected by high fees and settlement delays, problemes that solutions such as BizPay plan to overcome through improved compliance workflows and enhanced management tools.
The launch of BizPay follows a series of similar announcements from other market participants. On May 22, OpenFX reported raising $23 million in initial funding for its real-time payments and settlement platform, which connects traditional banking infrastructure with digital-native systems. According to the firm, 90% of transactions on its network settle within one hour.
Separately, Circle, a stablecoin company, has launched the Circle Payments Network (CPN), which facilitates the exchange of payment instructions and transaction settlement via public blockchains.
In April, Thunes closed a $150 million Series D round to expand its Direct Global Network, which supports real-time payments in more than 130 countries across 80 currencies and 550 integrations.
The BizPay announcement comes amid an industry trend toward digitised and modular financial infrastructure. While incumbent systems continue to support a large volume of international transactions, newer platforms are leveraging AI and decentralised technologies to improve transaction performance and transparency.
The extent to which these systems gain adoption will depend on regulatory alignment, cost competitiveness, and integration with existing enterprise workflows.
