FIS launches Digital One™ Commercial in APAC, completes global rollout
Live Updates
FIS® (NYSE: FIS), a global financial technology company, has launched Digital One™ Commercial in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, completing the platform’s global rollout.
The solution is now available to financial institutions across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and APAC. Digital One Commercial provides banks with the digital infrastructure to serve all business customers, from small businesses to large enterprises, across multiple markets through a single, core-agnostic deployment.
Peter Boyer, Co-President, Banking Solutions at FIS, said, “APAC’s commercial banking landscape is among the most complex in the world, and too many banks are navigating it with separate systems built for individual markets rather than the region. The opportunity is not incremental improvement — it is helping banks unite their commercial banking operations, serve every business segment from a single platform, and unlock growth across the region.”
Addressing a crucial moment in APAC commercial banking
The launch comes at a crucial time for commercial banking in APAC. As per Celent, corporate banking IT spending in APAC increased by 5.5% in 2025 and by 6.2% in 2026. The reason behind this is the fact that banks are focusing on client lifecycle management and digital platforms.
Colin Kerr, Head of Banking and Payments at Celent, quoted, “In APAC, the shift toward platform-based commercial banking is accelerating, driven by the need to unify client experiences and support cross-border services.”
“Banks increasingly prioritise flexible, integration-led architectures that can coexist with existing cores—making solutions such as Digital One Commercial highly relevant to current transformation agendas.”
However, many institutions still operate SMB and corporate clients on separate country-specific systems. They face challenges with compliance, data sovereignty, and the need for flexible cloud deployment, all while trying to meet rising customer expectations for real-time, connected digital services like those in retail banking.
Features customised to APAC’s commercial banking needs
Digital One Commercial is designed to support business customers across the entire money lifecycle. This includes cash management, payments, trade finance, foreign exchange, and corporate treasury, while addressing critical gaps faced by financial institutions in the APAC region.
Core-agnostic and API-first. Integrates with core banking systems to enable real-time, multi-rail payments across major APAC schemes like PayNow, GIRO, FAST, and SWIFT/ISO, along with trade finance and multi-entity liquidity management.
Single platform for every business segment. A composable architecture allows banks to support small businesses, mid-sized companies, and large enterprises on a single platform, eliminating the need for separate systems based on customer size or location, while enabling gradual implementation without a complete technology overhaul.
Built for APAC’s scale and diversity. Native support for English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia, and Vietnamese, alongside multi-currency and multi-time zone capabilities, allows banks to scale across markets from a single platform instance.
ERP connectivity. Direct integration with ERP and accounting platforms embeds banking services into business workflows in real time, eliminating the need for treasury teams to toggle between banking portals and internal systems.
A leading APAC bank operates Digital One Commercial in 15 countries on a single platform, serving around 350,000 business customers and over one million end-users.
This setup has sped up product launches and increased commercial banking revenue, eliminating the need to manage separate systems for each country.
Availability and compliance
Digital One Commercial is available globally and designed to serve regional banks scaling into new markets as well as global institutions modernising their commercial banking infrastructure.
The platform adheres to technology risk management frameworks. This includes MAS Notice 649 from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and HKMA LM2 from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, which regulate technology systems and cloud infrastructure.
FIS Digital One Commercial is a scalable solution designed to meet the needs of commercial banking in APAC and beyond.
