Shaping the future of trade finance in a multipolar world
The afternoon session of the ICC Global Banking Commission Meeting in Paris will bring together senior banking leaders, policymakers and industry experts to examine the structural forces reshaping global trade finance.
Hosted at the Tour Société Générale in La Défense, the session (14:00–18:30 CET) will open with strategic remarks outlining the 2026 roadmap and the principal challenges facing the trade finance industry. The programme will then move into a series of high-level discussions exploring:
- Digitalisation
- Artificial intelligence
- Data in transactional banking
- The need for a prudential framework that supports sustainable growth
- The evolving role of the European Union in the global financial architecture.
The agenda features keynote insights, fireside dialogue and three in-depth round tables, each followed by audience engagement. The session will conclude with closing remarks and a cocktail reception, providing an opportunity for continued discussion and networking among participants.
