Norfund
Norfund is the Norwegian Investment Fund for developing countries, owned and funded by the Norwegian Government. It acts as a responsible minority investor, providing equity or debt to private companies and projects on commercial terms to create jobs, improve lives, and support the transition to net zero. Its investment mandates cover renewable energy, financial inclusion, scalable enterprises, and green infrastructure.
The fund operates with a geographical focus on Sub-Saharan Africa, where it maintains regional offices in Nairobi, Cape Town, and Accra. It also invests in selected countries in Asia and Latin America, supported by regional offices in Bangkok and Costa Rica. Norfund works closely with partners and employs a largely local workforce across 14 countries.
