The European Payments Council (EPC) is an international non-profit association that supports and promotes the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). It is committed to contributing to safe, reliable, efficient, and sustainable payments that meet the needs of payment service users while supporting competitiveness and innovation within the European economy.

The organisation manages various pan-European payment schemes, including SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT), SEPA Direct Debit (SDD), SEPA Request-to-Pay (SRTP), and One Leg Out Instant Credit Transfer (OCT Inst). Beyond scheme management, the EPC formulates positions and proposals on European payment issues through dialogue with regulators and stakeholders, covering areas such as cards, mobile payments, payment security, and cash. Its workforce is distributed across 17 countries, including Belgium, Spain, Germany, France, and Italy.
