ITFA Emerging Leaders Half-Day Workshop with TTP, London

The International Trade and Forfaiting Association Emerging Leaders initiative brings together early career professionals across trade and transaction banking to build practical skills and industry perspective.

In partnership with TTP, this half day workshop in London focuses on a capability often overlooked in financial services: how you communicate, present and position yourself in front of clients, colleagues and stakeholders.

Designed for professionals working across trade finance, insurance, payments and treasury, the workshop will focus on practical skills that participants can apply immediately in their day to day roles. The sessions will explore professional communications, media engagement and the growing role of AI across the industry.

The afternoon programme will include two interactive sessions.

Media, Communications and PR Training

Led by Eleanor Hill, Treasury Editor at TTP, the session will provide practical guidance on working with the media and building a professional profile within the market.

Participants will gain insight into how journalists identify stories, what makes a strong industry narrative, and how to communicate clearly and confidently across interviews, panel discussions and video content. The session will also include a practical interview exercise designed to reflect real industry scenarios.

AI Prompting and Agent Building

Led by James Kelly, this session will offer a practical overview of how AI is being applied across financial services in 2026.

Using a live Letter of Credit example, the workshop will explore how to structure effective prompts, where AI can be relied upon in professional workflows, and how emerging agent based processes are beginning to support operational and analytical tasks across the market.

As this is an interactive workshop, attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet to fully participate in the practical exercises and get the most out of the sessions.

Networking Reception

Following the workshop, attendees are invited to join the ITFA Emerging Leaders Summer Networking Reception, with drinks and canapés, generously sponsored by TTP.

For those unable to attend in London, both workshop sessions will also be available via live stream.
