The Pan-African Payment & Settlement System (PAPSS) is a financial services initiative designed to enable and facilitate secure, efficient payment transactions across African borders. Supported by Afreximbank, the African Union, and the AfCFTA, the system aims to minimise transaction risks and contribute to deeper financial integration throughout the region.

PAPSS provides infrastructure that allows for the flow of money between different African markets, serving a diverse range of stakeholders. Its operations are supported by a distributed workforce across 11 countries, including Egypt, Nigeria, Cameroon, Canada, and Côte d’Ivoire.
