The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) is a multilateral development finance institution dedicated to fostering economic growth in member countries of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group. By exclusively targeting the private sector, the ICD acts as a bridge between capital and opportunity, financing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), supporting infrastructure projects, and mobilizing Islamic finance to promote sustainable development.
The corporation provides a range of financial and advisory solutions, including project and structured finance, SME financing programmes, and assistance in developing Islamic capital markets through instruments such as Sukuk and various investment funds. Additionally, the ICD advises governments and private entities on management practices, privatisation, and market development. Headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the ICD maintains a presence in Malaysia and operates across 11 countries, with a workforce distributed globally to support its investment and co-financing activities.
