Development Bank of Nigeria
The Development Bank of Nigeria is a banking institution established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with global development partners. Its primary objective is to alleviate financing constraints faced by Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) and small corporates in the country. It achieves this by providing financing and partial credit guarantees to eligible financial intermediaries, enabling them to expand their lending activities to the MSME sector on a market-conforming and sustainable basis.
The bank works alongside various international development organizations, including the World Bank, African Development Bank, KfW Development Bank, French Agency for Development, and the European Investment Bank. While its operations are focused on Nigeria, the bank maintains offices in Abuja and Lagos.
