Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank was Barclays’ former combined corporate and investment banking division. It served corporate and institutional clients through corporate lending, transaction banking, investment banking, global markets and research, providing financing, strategic advisory and risk-management services across global markets. Its transaction-banking activities were relevant to trade, treasury and payments, including cash management, trade and working-capital solutions, liquidity, payments and FX. Barclays’ 2024 reporting says the business structure was subsequently simplified: UK corporate banking was separated from the Investment Bank, while the current Investment Bank includes investment banking and international corporate banking for multinational corporate and institutional clients globally.
